FAQs

Why is it such a short book?

That’s the best part. It’s an easy and fast read. It is part of a concept developed by my publishers, Robert Reed and Pam Jacobs. I was limited to 128 pages cover to cover, so I had to fine tune to get the most information I could into it in as simple a way as I could. I think I’ve done that. As Carol LeBlanc, D.C. said, "The gift of this book is its brevity and inclusiveness."

Your last chapter is entitled "The Power of Thought". What does this mean?

We create or co-create our lives. When people realize how powerful their thoughts are, they can affect and change their lives in very physical ways. I discuss how this is done and the science backing it up.

What is your new book, "Heal Yourself: Mind Body Spirit" about?

The body-mind-emotion connection. However, I go at it from a slightly different perspective. I like to start with a sound physical structure via spinal alignment and nutrition. A healthy, functioning body can work through emotional problems more easily. If one is in physical pain or is toxic, it is extremely difficult to change one’s attitude or have meaningful exchanges with a counselor. In addition, so many “problems” clear up once a person has a clear mind to think them through. The book shows how all aspects of life work synergistically. Our physical structure allows nerve supply to flow to permit the food we eat to break down to supply the nutrients we need for metabolism and brain function to occur.

This sets the foundation for good mental and emotional health. By the same token, mental and emotional stability help maintain good structure and digestion. All the parts work together. The whole is only as strong as are all the individual parts are. A weakness in any part weakens the whole.

What do you discuss in this book?

A. Stress and its physical and nutritional and emotional components and what to do about each one of them.

B. The basic function of the body in easy to understand language. The anatomy and physiology that a grade school child should know so that when something goes wrong the average person can understand it and find the correct solution either by himself or with the aid of the best therapist. This, rather than cover everything up with a pill and allow things to gradually get worse.

C. Nutrition

D. A variety of common complaints that are often treated with drugs which mask symptoms. What to do to reverse these problems using natural therapies.

E. The Power of Our Thoughts
